A 2024 survey conducted in Indonesia found that around 77 percent of respondents used social media as the primary channel for obtaining information related to Eid travels. Visiting family and friends in their hometowns and villages, or commonly known as mudik, is an important tradition during the Eid holidays in Indonesia.
