In 2022, 38,000 burials were conducted at the Church of Norway. In that same year, 33,000 people were confirmed. The low number of different ceremonies in 2020 and 2021 can be explained by the COVID-19 pandemic. There were 3.5 million members of the Church of Norway in 2022.
