China is the leading exporter of plastics and rubber worldwide, accounting for some 17.3 percent of global exports in 2022. This was followed by the United States and Germany, at about 10.1 and 9.51 percent, respectively. In fact, the world's top 10 exporters of plastics and rubber combined represented more than 60 percent of total exports in 2022. The United States was the leading importer of plastics and rubber worldwide that year.
