As of September 2023, the non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) in India had given out a total of 455 billion U.S. dollars in loans and advances. The highest lending was directed towards the industry sector, reaching 165 billion U.S. dollars, while lending to agriculture and allied industries amounted to nine billion U.S. dollars.
