In 2022, the United States by far made the most contributions to the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), reaching over 90 million U.S. dollars. Sweden followed behind with contributions of over 31 million U.S. dollars, and the Netherlands came third with over 24 million dollars in contributions. Notably, two non-government entities are found on this list. This includes the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which contributed over two million U.S. dollars, and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, which is a multilateral fund, contributed over a million U.S. dollars.
