U.S. companies reasons for not alerting customers about data breach 2024
According to a 2024 survey of small business leaders and IT professionals in the United States, 38 percent of respondents stated that they did not notify their customers of the data breach incident because law enforcement advised them to wait until an investigation was complete. Additionally, 11 percent of respondents said they refrained from alerting their customers mainly because no customer or employee personal information was compromised during the data breach.
