The American government contributed the most core funding to UNICEF in 2022, at 134 million U.S. dollars. The Japanese Committee for UNICEF followed closely behind at 133 million U.S. dollars. Additionally, the German government provided the third highest amount of funding overall and second highest amongst governments at 98 million U.S. dollars.
