Donor contributions to UNFPA, 2022

In 2022, United Nations agencies were the largest provider of funding, specifically non-core funding, to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), amounting to over 217 million U.S. dollars. Out of each country that provides funding to UNFPA, the United States provided the most at nearly 50.5 million U.S. dollars in core funding and 134 million U.S. dollars in non-core funding, totaling 184 million. Norway followed behind with almost 60 million U.S. dollars in core funding and nearly 70 million U.S. dollars in non-core funding. Notably, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was one of the largest UNFPA funders in 2022, providing more funding than the governments of South Korea and Belgium.
