In a survey conducted in 2023 in India, 92 percent of female respondents stated that it was important for them while using ride-hailing services that they have support options in case of an emergency. Meanwhile, 85 percent of male respondents found the same feature important. Majority of the surveyed women were working, yet the average female labor force participation rates in 2022 was 37 percent in India.
