Denmark is the country with the highest offshore wind penetration in Europe. In 2023, offshore wind accounted for roughly 24 percent of electricity demand in the Scandinavian country. The United Kingdom, Europe's largest offshore market, sourced some 17 percent of its electricity demand from offshore wind.
