The gross volume of office real estate leased or sold in Germany declined to a record low in 2023. The annual take-up amounted to 2.56 million square meters, which was lower than in 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic paralyzed the economy. Among the different markets in the country, Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg had the most active office markets in 2022.
