The Private Equity (PE) share of growth capital overtook the buyout funds, historically representing the largest funding share. Considering these observations, the PE market in Romania seems to be still in the development phase. As per cross-country comparison, the growth investments accounted for 35 percent of total PE investments in Romania during the same period, representing the highest share of such investments in Central and Eastern Europe.
