At the end of the 2024 financial year, there were around 8,120 takeaway food services in operation across New South Wales, Australia. In comparison, there were around 575 takeaway food services operating in Tasmania that same year. Across the country's states and territories, New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland were the top three states in terms of the number of takeaway food services.
