As of January 2023, the Italian Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale (Italian National Cybersecurity Agency) allocated between 240 thousand and two million euros to regional authorities and municipalities in the country as state funding. The funding was allocated to help improve cybersecurity management as well as increase citizens awareness. The municipality of Rome received 1.85 million euros from the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency, while the Lazio regional authority saw 1.22 million euros as of January 2023.
