In 2021, the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) charged ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) a total of over 151 million Ghanaian cedis (about 12 million U.S. dollars) for water supplied. On the other hand, it only collected just over 10 million Ghanaian cedis (around 800,000 U.S. dollars) of the billing, equivalent to about 6.6 percent.
