If all energy and climate targets are achieved in Latin America, solar photovoltaic capacity is forecast to reach roughly 175 gigawatts in 2030. In the same scenario, wind is expected to surpass 100 gigawatts of installed capacity and bioenergy will reach some 38 gigawatts. Hydropower is forecast to continue being the largest source of renewable energy in the region in 2030.
