Between 2014 and 2022, the distribution of singleton births by gestational age in the United States indicated that more than half of births were classified as full term. However, there was a slight but consistent decrease in the proportion of full-term births over the analyzed period. Conversely, early term births experienced a steady rise during the study period, increasing from approximately 24 percent in 2014 to nearly 30 percent by 2022. This statistic depicts the distribution of singleton births in the United States between 2014 and 2022, by gestational age.
