Palladium accounted for the largest quantity of platinum group metals (PGM) recovered from end-of life catalytic convertors worldwide in 2021, at 90 metric tons. In comparison, 38.4 metric tons of platinum and 11.5 metric tons of rhodium was recovered globally from catalytic converter recycling that year.
