In 2022, breast cancer was by far the most prevalent type of cancer in the Middle East and North Africa, with 112 thousand new cases. Respiratory cancer such as trachea, bronchus and lung cancer recorded the second highest number of incidents in the region with 80 thousand new cases during the same year. Penis cancer had the least number of incidents, with only 78 new cases.
