The net turnover of the mining, quarrying, and construction machinery manufactured in the European Union increased to 44 billion euros. That came after a decline in the industry's revenue in 2020, falling to 37 billion euros. In 2011, the turnover for the manufacture of machinery for mining and construction in the current 27 members of the EU was over 36 billion euros, which peaked at 43 billion euros in 2018.
