For 2024's Valentine's Day, only half of surveyed female consumers in the United States said they were not likely to buy themselves a gift. Compared to previous years, self-gifting has seemingly become more popular, as the share of U.S. women, who said they were very or somewhat likely to buy something to mark the occasion, increased noticeably.
