In Disney's fiscal 2023, the company spent around 27 billion U.S. dollars on original and acquired content, down by over two billion compared with the previous year. Due to overall cost savings amid the strikes and continuous losses in the direct-to-consumer business, the house of mouse is expected to further drop its content spending by two billion U.S. dollars in 2024.
