According to a survey conducted among adults in Queensland, Australia from June to July 2023 regarding their alcohol use and views on policy options for the online sale and delivery of alcohol, the most common reason for having an alcoholic drink was when socializing, with over 67 percent of respondents indicating this. Drinking to relieve stress was the second most prevalent reason for alcoholic beverage consumption among those surveyed.
