According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Taiwan in December 2023, approximately 70 percent of respondents aged above 54 years stated that they were willing to pay more for sustainable and environmentally friendly products. People of this age group were the most willing to pay extra for such products.

"Would you be willing to pay more for products that are sustainably-produced/packaged and environmentally-friendly?"
Among the total of 11,917 survey respondents, 2,332 were between 16 and 24 years old, 3,554 were between 25 and 34 years old, 3,213 were between 35 and 44 years old, 1,920 were between 45 and 54 years old, and 898 were 55 years or older.
