For the 2023/24 academic year, the maximum value of a student maintenance loan for students in England was 9,980 British pounds, compared with 10,350 pounds in the previous year. Maintenance loans are designed to help students in England with their living costs, and although they were also comprised of a free grant in previous years, have consisted solely of loans since 2016/17.
