In 2023, Latin America and the Caribbean imported approximately 10.4 billion U.S. dollars worth of health equipment, an increase of one billion dollars in comparison to what was reported a year earlier. The value of health equipment imports into the region increased by over three billion dollars compared to 2018, when it reached 7.26 billion U.S. dollars. During the last year depicted, the United States was Latin America and the Caribbean's main import partner for health equipment.
