Sales volume of new mopeds in the Netherlands 2017-2022

In 2022, the total sales of all types of mopeds in the Netherlands amounted to around 62,700 units, which is roughly a 16 percent decline from the previous year. Most of the decline in sales is accounted for by the substantial decrease in sales of the light moped category of mopeds, which experienced a 42 percent decline in sales. However, the moped category had the highest sales volume in the last six years at a record of 33,412 units.
