Many consumers in the Untied States are looking for ways to reduce their food spending. As of December 2023, the most popular strategy to save money on food was to try and reduce the amount of food wasted at home. About a quarter of consumers also attempt to save while shopping, by buying lower-cost ingredients or cheaper cuts of meat.
