Project status definitions:

Prospective - the project or transaction has been identified as necessary but has not formally received approval or funding.

Detailed planning - the project or transaction is being looked into by the relevant government or private sector proponent and is subject to planning approval and other processes.

Announced - the project or transaction has a funding commitment for the total estimated cost and a timeline but has not yet entered the procurement phase.

Under procurement - the project or transaction has entered procurement.

Awarded - procurement for the project or transaction has been completed with the project proponent having selected their preferred bidder, and a financial or contractual agreement for the project or transaction has been reached.
