During a 2023 survey, nearly half of respondents among Western physical security professionals reported being familiar with green and low carbon initiatives for the security industry. This share amounted to almost 40 percent for Asian physical security professionals. In addition, 16 percent of Asian respondents had already implemented sustainability concepts in their business, while only 12 percent of Western respondents mentioned doing so. On the other hand, 12 percent of Asian and Western respondents alike claimed not being familiar with sustainability initiatives for the security industry.
