The storage capacity of operational energy plants combining solar photovoltaic power generation and energy storage in the United States surpassed four gigawatts as of the end of 2022. PV and storage plants accounted for the largest storage capacity among hybrid and co-located power facilities in the country, as well as for the largest capacity of power plants in interconnection queues.
