In 2021, the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) registered a raw water abstraction capacity of 1.04 billion cubic meters per day. The withdrawal capacity was forecast to more than double in 2027 to reach 2.21 billion cubic meters per day. Over 673 million cubic meters of potable water were produced in the country in 2021. The GWCL supplies water to urban dwellers in Ghana.
