According to a survey that was conducted in August 2023 in Japan, with around 23 percent, the majority of male respondents stated that they did not use contraception because wearing a condom reduces the pleasure during sexual intercourse. For women, the main reason to not use contraception, with a share of almost 20 percent, was that it was difficult to tell the other person.
