In 2023, a large majority of a survey respondents among employees of German companies dealt with the security vulnerabilities of their open source software (OSS) by informing their cybersecurity experts. At the same time, 76 percent of respondents reported working directly to fix the vulnerability. In addition, nearly 30 percent of respondents stopped the use of the affected products after finding out about a security vulnerability.
