In 2023, close to 12 million people visited New York City in the United States for business reasons. Comparatively, a substantial majority, approximately 50.4 million visitors, went to New York for leisure activities. The projected total visitor count was expected to maintain its upward trajectory, with estimates approaching 55 million for leisure travelers and 13.2 million for business travelers by the year 2025.
