The source adds the following information: The methodology employed in this analysis distinguishes between Account Information Service Providers (AISPs) that directly offer services to customers and those that primarily serve as platforms enabling other offerings. The latter are referred to as 'platform AISPs'. However, this differentiation becomes less relevant in payment propositions, where Payment Information Service Providers (PISPs) often facilitate merchants in accepting open banking payments alongside offering services directly to customers. Consequently, payment providers are assessed separately.

The analysis relies on data sourced from OBL regarding the number of Third-Party Providers (TPPs) regulated, active in the Sandbox or Production, and with live-to-market services. A total of 151 entities were examined using publicly available information, such as participant websites and press articles, to determine which of the six outcome areas the primary proposition aligned with.
