In 2023, the most significant disadvantages of using open source software (OSS) for German companies were the lack of OSS professionals and legal uncertainties regarding licensing obligations, each highlighted by 14 percent of respondents. At the same time, only seven percent of respondents saw the use OSS within their company as presenting security risks.
