Secondary rice production volume Thailand 2022-2023
In 2022, the production volume of secondary rice in Thailand amounted to approximately 6.17 million metric tons. This was forecast to reach around 7.35 million metric tons in 2023. Second rice refers to rice grown between 1st of November and the 30th of April of the following year, except in six provinces in the Southern part, which are Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Phatthalung, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. In these provinces, secondary rice is grown from the 1st of March to the 15th of June.
