According to a 2023 study, around a quarter of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Brazilian internet users about Grindr were related to crime. Another 24 percent of the posts had a comical approach, while 16 percent were critics or about erotic content. Meanwhile, Tinder received fewer posts with the aforementioned rhetorics, being more approached under topics like politics and innovation. However, Grindr had overall more positive views than Tinder when being discussed on the microblogging platform, with fewer posts containing negative feelings and relatively higher neutral views.
