The highest production value of PDO (protected designation of origin) and PGI (protected geographical indication) quality labels wines in Italy was generated by two prosecco wines, Prosecco DOP and Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOP. The former generated more than 1.1 billion euro while the latter generated 239 million. Delle Venezie DOP came third with an added value of 188 million euros.
