Almost 80 percent of financial industry experts in Europe expected that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) would significantly affect productivity, according to a survey conducted in October 2023. In addition, 68 percent of the respondents predicted that up to a quarter of all roles would require upskilling, while 35 percent of the respondents did not have action plans for such upskilling. In terms of spending, 75 percent of the respondents indicated that they planned to increase spending over the coming year.
