As of 2023, over half of patients surveyed in the United States indicated increased satisfaction with their care as a result of telemedicine. On the other hand, fewer than ten percent of patients expressed lower satisfaction with their care as a result of telehealth. Telehealth refers to the delivery of health-related services and information via electronic information and communications technology. It enables long-distance patient-clinician communication, care, guidance, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring, and remote admissions.
