This statistic displays the capacity of biomass power plants installed in Italy from 2008 to 2016. According to data, the capacity has increased considerably over the years. In 2008, the total capacity installed was equal to 1,600 megawatts, while in 2016 the value peaked, reaching 4,248 megawatts. It is also relevant to add that, even though there has been a general growth trend, the capacity has increased more significantly from 2008 to 2013, then from that year on.
