Water quality index in Ghana 2021, by range
In the 2021 water quality index in Ghana, the minimum and maximum scores reached 35.46 points and 82.11 points, respectively. Moreover, the mean index score stood at 58.2. The index measures the quality of surface water, where scores between 25 and 50 indicate poor quality of water, and scores greater than 80 represent good or unpolluted water. According to the source, in the said year, the maximum index value in the country was reported in the main Volta basin, at Kpong.
