As of August 2023, there were no e-commerce startup deals in Thailand despite the seven deals being closed in the previous year. In the same period, the value of startup funding in the country reached around 76 million U.S. dollars. However, it is important to note that e-commerce and fintech dominate with the highest number of startup deals in the country. The decrease in e-commerce deals in 2023 could stem from retreating market conditions.
