In 2023, the top challenge that companies in North America faced when it came to recruitment was a lack of people to fill open positions. Approximately 22 percent of respondents claimed that their main challenge was they were unable to offer remote or hybrid work, and as a result, made the open position less desirable for candidates. Almost a quarter of respondents stated that the hiring process took too long, so potential candidates may have found a position elsewhere.
