The ability to meet regulatory, or industry requirements was the second most popular reason for firms surveyed to pressure Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics. The ability to promote growth was the leading factor driving surveyed firms to address ESG topics. Over half of firms operating within the consumer-packaged industry noted promoting growth as a driving force.
