Solar power primary energy supply Japan FY 2012-2021
In the fiscal year 2021, the primary energy supply from solar energy in Japan amounted to around 742 petajoules. The figure increased continuously throughout the past decade. The Japanese government currently aims to increase renewable and nuclear energy share to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and be less dependent on fossil fuel imports.
