The global value of announced greenfield foreign direct investment (FDI) projects increased from 740 billion U.S. dollars in 2021 to 1.2 trillion dollars in 2022. The highest sum was invested in Europe, reaching more than 360 billion dollars, followed by Africa with 195 billion dollars.
