Most likely genres for co-viewing in the U.S. 2023

The majority of consumers in the United States like to share a laugh with others, as 68 percent of them chose comedy as a genre when watching TV shows in company, according to a survey held in August 2023. Drama and action/adventure follow in the ranking of most popular genres among co-viewers, with 55 percent and 49 percent of respondents, respectively. The least popular are science-fiction and fantasy shows, as well as the news programming.
